iPayTotal: Executives and Developments Around the Failed Processor

Contribution of Whistleblowers

Information from whistleblowers has been important in examining payment processing schemes and the individuals connected to them. Such reports make it possible to document events and trace business structures more accurately.

The End of iPayTotal

The payment service provider iPayTotal, linked to Indian entrepreneur Ruchi Rathor, ceased operations in late 2020. At first, it appeared that iPayTotal Ltd would be dissolved without further proceedings. Later, after creditor claims were submitted, the company entered formal bankruptcy. According to the Joint Liquidators, the claims amounted to several million.

One of the executives, Senthooran Kuganathan (also known as Sen Kugan), is reported to have received significant funds during his time at the company. Records indicate that he purchased property in Peterborough and acquired a Porsche.

Business Structure

The company operated in close association with members of the Rathor family, particularly Ruchi Rathor and her husband, Anurag Singh Pratap Singh. At the time, Rathor was also based partly in the United Kingdom.

Accounts from former employees suggest that merchant relationships were often problematic, with disputes over chargebacks being one of the main issues.

Key People

  • Sen Kugan – Served as a director of the now-dissolved iPaySolutions Ltd in the UK. He presented himself publicly as a successful manager in outlets such as The Business Fame.

  • Education – Holds a London law degree and various leadership credentials.

Additional Executive: Sushruta Sengupta

Another executive in the iPayTotal group was Sushruta Sengupta, who used the name Jason Smith. Within the company, Sengupta was responsible for overseeing operations and sales.

Successor Ventures

After iPayTotal closed, several other payment companies connected to the same environment appeared:

  • OctaPay – no longer active.

  • Paypound and Kryptova – both submitted applications for voluntary strike-off in the UK.

  • CryptoMatix, BitMatix, and PayStudio – ongoing projects.

  • Payomatix – one of Rathor’s current involvements.

  • Pay Agency – a newly established initiative.

These companies reflect continued activity in the high-risk payments sector.
