Notorious Belgrade Law Firm Vujosevic & Partners Temporarily Closes Amid Legal Turmoil

The Belgrade-based law firm Vujosevic & Partners, led by Montenegrin-born attorney Marko Vujosevic, has reportedly suspended operations following a series of legal challenges and controversies. Google currently lists the firm as “temporarily closed.”

Involvement in Fraudulent Activities

Vujosevic & Partners has been implicated in fraudulent binary options schemes, allegedly facilitating work permits for numerous Israeli nationals involved in these operations. The firm co-founded Global Payment Solutions DOO (GPS) in Podgorica, Montenegro, alongside cybercrime figures Uwe Lenhoff and Gal Barak. GPS is accused of laundering millions of euros for fraudulent platforms such as Option888 and TradoVest.

Legal Proceedings and Defamation Case

In June 2022, a Montenegrin court dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by a politician mentioned in reports by the online news platform IN4S. The court found that IN4S’s allegations—that Vujosevic embezzled €19 million through GPS between 2017 and 2018, with portions allegedly used to bribe officials and their relatives—were substantiated by criminal records from Austria.

Associations with Notable Figures

Reports suggest that Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović financed his recent political campaign through companies affiliated with Vujosevic. Additionally, GPS reportedly paid over €115,000 for “consulting services” to Andrija Bošković, son of Montenegrin politician and parliament member Predrag Bošković (Wikipedia page).

Current Status of the Firm

Following the court’s dismissal of the defamation claim, Vujosevic & Partners appears to have ceased operations. Contact numbers associated with the firm are inactive, and its current operational status remains uncertain.

This development highlights the intricate connections between legal entities and fraudulent activities, underscoring the importance of transparency and accountability within the legal profession.
